Rip my dog...

so my dog of 12 years was put down today. This is probably the worst feeling of my entire life. He had no use of his back hind legs due to broken vertbrae in his back so he could only use his 2 front legs.....shit really sucks he was a tough one though could drag emself around but to walk em we had to elevate his back....on a good note the whole reason for me posting this was that the year he was born and brought into my life was the same year I learned to ski-1994....so that has to mean something. He loved the snow as well...RIP Scooter....this is tough.

shit dude i know exactly how it feels, we had to put my dog down a few years ago, got him when i was a month old and put him down when i was 16. it was sooo shitty. he was my little buddy lol , rip tho man i know what your goin through.

its sucks so bad when your dog dies, i got mine when i ws born so she was like my sister, sadddest thing thats happened in my life ever by far, both my granddad's are dead and there deaths were no way near as a sad as my dog dying, RIP, kinda drunk so im not sure if i spelt stuff rithg or doesnt sound right,

I 110% know what you mean. My dog was put down a month ago, and he was 12 years old. It sucks so much because I was half-way around the world and never got to say bye to him, you know? You will feel better soon enough. I was surprised how sad I got when I heard he died. I knew he was going to, but I couldn't prepare for it. I was so pissed that you could get so upset over a dog, but they really are man's best friend, even if they never learned how to retreive when playing fetch.

aww i'm sorry, i know how much that sucks, we had to put my kitty asleep last year, and ive had her since i was 1 and she grew up with me, i miss her but at least its not a person you love

Ya I never expected to get so upset about my dog. We got her as a puppy when I was 5, and she died when I was 16. So I had that dog as long as I could remember. She was just always there and I couldn't remember what it was like without her. She was also the most amazing and perfect dog an owner could ask for. I'll never own a dog like that again. She was just so obediant and everything. Life goes on though, I have a new lab now and shes lots of fun. Sorry to hear the news man, but you will get through it.

If it helps any I work at an animal shelter and I had to assist in putting down this sick animal. Its really 100% painless for them and they jsut go to sleep. It still sucks, good luck man
