I fucked up

alright so was going 91 in a 75 zone and got a speeding ticket for $68.80. i got four points on my liscense. How many points can i get before i get my license taken away and when are the points taken off the license? By the way i am 16 years old and i live in colorado if that helps

it varies state by state....but point totals usually around 12-16. I have had questions about this as well cuz ive had several tickets in vt and live in nj....its a gray area. If its your first ticket you should be fine. Try to fight it in court and be lucky it wasnt 65 mph. I dont kno about insurrance, but i would say most likely yes.

yea i got that exact same ticket.. at least same amount over same price and same amount of points... but send that shit in and it should only be 2 points.. im pretty sure thats how it should be, if not go to the court date and you could probably get at least two points taken off.. that is how it is in colorado

I remember when getting a speeding tickey was the worst thing that could happen... Look kid dont worry about it if this is your first ticket just mail it in and try not to speed anymore. You will lose the 4 points but you have 6 and they might even reduce it to 2 points.

Ok so insurance. It is very important thet you dont tell your insurance agent anything if you already have your fucked. When you send in the payment for the fine write the check 2 or 3 dollars over. In a couple of months you will get a check back for that 2-3 bucks. DO NOT CASH IT TEAR IT UP AND THROW IT AWAY. This way the books dont balance and the record of the ticket never makes it to your insurance company. Peace

Fuck no. Insurance Fraud is when you file a false claim and then take the profit. Not when you write a check for an extra two dollars. You are doing nothing illegal and defintally not commiting insurance fraud. You have no leagal obligation to report a speeding ticket or any traffic violation to your insurance company.

dude you got 4 points cuz you were goin over 90 and that is considered wreckless driving, and btw you need 12 points to get you license taken away...haha i just learned all this like a week ago in drivers ed

im 17 and have 2 points left on my license. first ticket was 87 in a 55. that one freaked me out because i had zero . when your under 18 in colorado you can get up to 6 points

i know 68 dollars seems really low for going 91 in a 75.. my dad didn't update his registration or something and he got fined 140 in N.Y, in n.y going like 20 over the speed limit i think would be 200.. i think its 12 points until you lose your license where i live

dude, getting tickets is cool, next time you get one, throw it at the cop. you don't even need a drivers licence, and if you get arrested, chicks dig it. so moral of the story, speeding = getting laid.

75 zones are everywhere in colorado.. most every 4 lane highway out of the city is. 2 lanes are 65.
