Fatypus skis= way overboard?

anybody else think that the fatypus skis are just way to fuckin big to ever be manuverable and useful? they are huge

freeskier magazine says that they outperform other fat skis on groomers. They said they were surprised too.

you mean on the groomed runs, wow, i just think they are way overkill, but i rarely go places that would have enough powder to make them usefull, cuase i ski midwest most of the year, the i go out west about once a year to vail or heavenly

i had the alotta which is 140 underfoot and they were by far the best skis i ever owned. i used to take these out on the groomers and they ripped, they turned super well in tight trees and stayed stable at high speeds in the pow better than anything. these are awesome skis!

until you ski them you cant hate, instead of building a ski that can only be used in the pow such as the hellbent, fatypus built an awesome ski that can rip everything and still float deep pow. these skis are amazing

a friend of mine rode the fatypus g-butters (parkski) and i'm almost convinced that these skis are in fact bulletproof ...

also why criticize on a brand for making skis that are too fat ? they also make park width skis ?

there's definately a niche carved out for 130mm+ skis ....

Every ski in the Fatypus ski quiver is amazing. So many other companies make skis at or around 140cm...so don't look to call them out. Yes, they began the "widest ski" fad, but it's not overboard-the skis perform well in all conditions. The park skis(G-butters) are the lightest, poppiest, most fun ski you could ever have- they're extremely playful and hold up well in both the jumps and pipe. It's a small company in the ski industry that has a great, reputable name and everyone I have heard who has had their skis really enjoys them. Don't talk shit unless you can back it- go try out the skis and then give your little rant.
