More speed in Jibberish

Yeah I've read the thread on how to get speed on Jibberish, but it won't work for me. I hold shift and nothing happens. Is there a certain time to hold it down or something?

1. It doesnt work if youre on the ground, only if youre in the air
2. be sure its right shift.
3. A way to get speed on ground is to go up to the landing of a gap jump (i.e. whistler) and then run straight into the wall, where your speed will stay at 30 or whatever. Now jump and you hang in the air. now hold right shift until you reach your desired speed, and then steer right or left until you slip out from behind the landing, and you will be going fucking fast on flat ground, and when you hit a jump you will fly.

to use shift on the ground and get pimp-speeed you can't use the spacebar, and you just have to jump into a hill and hold shift
