Need help buying twin tips

hi ive been skiing all my life (im 16) and i want to buy twin tips for this season cuz im goin to winter park during feb break. I spend around 40% of my time in the park. I'm around 5'6 130lbs. I asked my friend and i got a few suggestions:

ninthward butterlicious 160
k2 public enemy 159
Ninthward M.I.P Tosh Peters Pro Model 160
line invader 151 or 161?
Rossignol Scratch Sprayer FS 168

which would be the best or is there others i should look into?

i would have to tell you to not go any shorter than 170 or 169 pe.

yeah go AT LEAST a 165.

Do you like stiff or soft?
There are some soft and stiff skis on this list.

Dude, check out Moment skis. theyr page is www.momentskis.com. you can buy through their website and theyre cheaper than most companies. They also make solid skis. Check out the Renos.

check out the High Society Classic. It is a sick park ski with a bamboo core so it is pretty snappy and a dope argyle graphic.... you can peep it on the website.

yeah those ski look nice but ide rather get skis that are sort of "main stream" cuz i need to get some cash from my dad so he kinda wants to know what company i buy from.

line invaders or anthem (which would be better all around?
anthem cuz its wider?)

i live normally ski here in the east coast but im goin to colorado for a week this season and im ski 60 all terrain and 40 park

You've got three pairs of very different skis. The PEs are designed more for more outside the park, allm mtn, etc, as are the Scrathc BCs, and the Anthems. Unless you do a decent amount of all mountain, involving deeper snow, the extra width of the Anthems, BCs, or PEs is usually not worth it. The Invader, Fujative, and Scratch FS are all designed mostly for park. Invaders and Fujatives are on the softer side, whereas the Scratch will be stiffer. If you like snap, and dont want a really soft ski, the Scratch FS is likely the best ski on that list. You can proly pick up last years cheaper, but they are going to be more expensive than Invaders or Scratchs. I got Fujatives (last years) for 230 which is 100 off retail, that would be a good deal on a pair of scratchs as well. If you still want to go with the big brothers to the skis you listed, BC, PE, Anthem, they will be a bit more pricey, but if you want better deep snow performance they are worth it. I imagine they would get pretty heavy in the park all day though.

out of the Scratch fc, anthems, PE which are the lightest?
or which of the (park specific skis) are good for normal trails.
im trying to find a middle ground

Of the last three you named, the scratch would be the lightest one on there to the best of my knowledge. PEs didnt change a lot since last year that I am aware of but I'm not sure at all. They are a heavier ski, and stiffer, I've heard stories about them losing pop, or being a "dead ski" from a lot of people. From what I read on here, they would not be a good choice for a park ski unless there is a lot of all mountain in your plan for this year.

hey, i don't know aboutr any one else, but i think for you you should get a pair of "solomon 720's" because...
1.they are cheap because they are olders
2.they are great anywhere
3.they are a light ski
4.they are from a "name brand" ski company

only problem is that they might be a little hard to find

At 5'6", even at 130, you'll outgrow 720s relatively quickly. They are a light ski, and cheap if you can find them, so those two pros are legit. Name brand, yes, but that doesnt say much, it fails to make them a better choice than anything else listed here. I skied 720s for a year, its an experience I dont care to repeat. I completely overpowered them. They are durable, I could ski them again this year, but they dont really allow much room to progress. They are relatively soft, need a higher back tip, and have a tendancy to turn purple, contrary to the pictures you will see. Its not exactly a brilliantly designed ski for park, yet it doesnt lend itself to be a great all mountain ride either, god forbid you find pow someplace. If you are going to be 130 your whole life, and dont plan on progressing past the basics of park, I would not recomend these skis.

Which Scratch are you talking about, BC of FS? The Anthems are softer than the scratchs, they are more of an all mountain ski, but they are pretty soft. I'm still gonna say go with the FS, the Anthems or BCs will most likely be overkill if you ski mostly park. If you run in to deep snow on a regualr basis, you could justify them.

im talking about the FS, i live in the east coast but i am gonna make a trip to colorado this season so im not gonna be in too much powder often. and yeah i woulndt say i spend MOST my time in the park (at most 45-50%) so i think the scratch fs will be a better all mountain(groomers ice a lil powder and 40% park) than the anthem or invader right?

The anthems would be better at all-mountain but they are not at all designed for it. They are just a wider invader, 100% park.
I would definitely go with the Scratch FS's but the BC's are nice too.
The wideness of the anthems is for more rail stability and jump landings.
do not ski deep snow with anthems.

You sound like you want the Chronic Blend. Its 90 at the waist, so decent in powder, stiff enough and light enough to help you in the park, and the carbon matrix will make it do what you want on the rest of the mountain. The width with have more swing weight than a dedicated park ski, but it will be worth it.

I have the Scratch Sprayer FS in 168. I'm the same height and a bit lighter than you.

I'm pretty crappy at park skiing, but I'd say it works fine. I landed a few 360s and slid a few rails on it. I need to gain some weight before I'll be able to bend and butter it.

Before I dulled the edges, it was surprisingly good for carving around on slippery snow, and it didn't feel out of control on ice. Doesn't come close to some other all mountain twins though - I'd rather have my Concepts or Mad_Trix on ice days.

Yeah, Anthems are as soft as invaders, you would sink like a stone, I was tired.

I've read this whole thing 80 times, get the Scratch FS, you should be happy with it given the parameters you've laid down so far.

no but the sprayer and the reg are little different.
I haven't skied the sprayer, but I think it's designed a little bit more for park, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

not really....theyre just cheaper. With a wood core and a bit softer. The sprayer is the same as all the past scratch ecos.

Sprayer FS is great skiing switch. The mounting point is pretty centered, so forwards or backwards doesn't make a big difference.

dude personely al those choices suck, ur my size/weight and i woudent like any of those ski (excluding ninthward no experience there) scratch FS, Line anthem, Volkl Karma would be some sweeter choices
