SFB binding/mountain questions

1) 914's or FKS15?
2) Where to mount? Lots of tree/whatever powder I can find, but also lots of cruising and freeriding and all mountain-ish...suggested? +2? Anyone ride the ski in advance or have a similar shape and know a good spot?
Advice from people who know what they're talking about only...you know who you are(and aren't).
This is all. Thanks.

And whenever a mod sees this and decides it's way better suited in Ski Equipment Forums, well...you should move it to it's respective location.

well, on my elizabeths i got them mounted in the middle of the front set of holes for the line binding. obviously those dont have that but i think that was about 2 cm back i believe. that skis unbelievable switch, great in the park and everything, but unfortunately i cant reallly give you a review on the powder portion because i havent seen any with them yet. anyway i figured i would comment because they are more or less the same ski, just a different length. so hope this helps, and bump for this guy.

i have no idea where u should mount the bindings since ive never skied bacons, but for which bindings to use....dont fks's have the really tight screw pattern? while 914s are much wider. On such a fat ski I would worry about rip outs.

^ Even though the FKS have a tight screw pattern it won't matter unless he plans on destroying his SFBs on rails. I have some FKS on my THA 187s and only use them for powder and some BC booters and I haven't have any problems. One other thing to avoid if you're still concerned about having them rip out is to not crank the heel up so much. That's why you should have a good shop mount the forward pressure.

and well, I haven't ridden the SFBs but on the line site it says that recommended will be like 2 or 3 cm from true center, so I think you'll be fine mounting at recommended.
