Replying to I need some input, what else is new?

I'm looking for a jacket. It needs to be for nothing more than skiing. I want it to be really warm so I can go easy on the extra layers in sub-zero temps, good waterproofing, all around good quality, you know, the obvious shit. I dont want to buy something that is amazingly trendy or flashy. I am looking for something more laid back, available in mroe neutral colors, etc. I can spend some good money cause it isnt my money, but if my mom gets sticker shock when  I show her the web page that isnt so great either, so keep it moderate. This is my first time shopping for a skiing jacket that doesnt need to pass with my parents for wearing to church/school, etc, so include basic info that I may need. whatever you have to say I'm glad to hear it.
