Seattle area resorts

i may be moving to seattle and im looking for opinions on resorts in the area.

name the resort - proximity to seattle - how awesome it is -- etc

There arnt really "resorts" rated by listing
Theres
Whistler Blackcomb 6 hours
Crystal 2-2 1/2 hours
Baker 3-3 1/2 hours
Snoqualmie Pass 1 hour
Stevens Pass

Anyways, the closest are Summit at Snoqualmie (around an hour depending on road conditions), and Stevens Pass (1hr20 to 1hr40 depeding on where in seattle you live....the other good mountains are Crystal (about 2 hours), and Mt. Baker (about 2 1/2). Then you've got Mt. Hood which is about 4 1/2 hours south, and Whistler 5 hours north (but you gotta cross the boarder).

My favorties are Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie, and Baker beacause they are all good in completely different ways. Snoqualmie gets pissed on more often than the other mountains because they are only 3,000 ft or so, but they have the best rails, boxes, and pipe. Stevens has great terrain, pow, and variety, but you cant usually count on their park to be spectacular, but its not bad (their jumps are better than snoqualmie's). Baker is for the powder fiends and freeriders, with a pretty shitty park beacuse its frequently getting buried on good seasons. Crystal is for old / rich skiers (they made me buy a leash before they would let me get on the lift), but they have fun freeriding terrain

Yea I get dumped on by people I know for skiing at snoqualmie, I just told them that I was glad i did not spend 900 for a pass to the most crowded mountain in WA, (it can be worse then Whistler) and that alpental would kick the shit out of Crystal.

I would get a pass for crystal if they offered a college one, it has amazing terrain. I would totally just find a nice area and build kickers in the BC all year over there... but alas, the Stevens Pass is cheaper. Maybe in a few years when I no longer get the deal.

thanks for the info -
i wish weekend seasons passes existed. not knowing when im working until in the city sucks.. hopefully not too late. i might buy the weekday pass for stevens pass for night skiing and save the weekends for trips elsewhere.

im super stoked to get out there
