i have acrlyic that i got over the summer for my box. will this work? i
havent mounted it yet ive been super busy but i plan on it today or
tomorrow. some people have said that it may be too soft and i can catch
edges easily on it. i was also thinking about putting metal or pvc on
the sides to avoid this. any imput?
yeah man as long as you have metal pipes as coping it should be alright, i have a box mas out of it and i snowboard and it slid well, especially when it was reallllly cold.
it will work like you said. it would not be my top choice for a topsheet, and you may catch some edges. some steel coping would work wonders, but that's up to you. if you got it for free, fine go for it. If you can get steel for free, than I say you've got yourself a box. If you're gonna have to drop $$ on steel, you might as well spend it on HDPE and make it that much better
ive never used pvc, but if you ski it seems like it works pretty good for fellow skiing newschoolers, but its easier to catch an edge snowboarding, so i say its definatly worth it to get metal, just go to a junkyard and get it dirt cheap...
