don't use windows media player. use flip4mac. go to http://flip4mac.com/wmv_download.htm and click download. it is by far the best way to view wmvs on a mac because it runs them straight through quicktime.

somehow that came preloaded on my powerbook.
and you're right, use that...but i think you have to have wmp loaded first, not sure.

you can also try mplayer, but in my experience flip4mac owns anything. so you using it for pr0n or what?
