So here in NZ my mate and I are making a run-in for some summer rails. We have a 7 foot tall frame, and we are topping it with plywood, and will place some carpet on top of that. We are also going to wet it down when we ski it to get the best slide. I've seen movies of kids with summer snow, fake grass, carpet, leaves, or whatever, and I'm just going for carpet since we have about 3000 feet of it. Is there any wax in particular Ic ould use to get a better slide on it? Maybe put some soap on it to grease it up? I'm asking the people experienced in summer run-ins about what will work best to get enough speed to get onto a rail (hopefully some real rails from our mountain.)
Anything is good really, I'll be sure to post some pics when it is finished.
