Replying to Official announcement from If Ullr Was A Girl
We’ve encountered some challenges with fraudulent voting on ifullrwasagirl.com. There are girls with friends and family with multiple logins voting for them and there are girls with multiple logins themselves. We can see what is going on behind the scenes and this kind of voting behaviour is considered fraudulent.
While we’re stoked these girls are obviously very motivated to get that trip to Whistler Blackcomb to compete for the Ullr Girl title, we want the girls that win to play by the rules. This contest has the potential to have huge impact for women in the snow industry and we are committed to keeping it legit. All fraudulent votes have been discarded and the voter rankings now reflect this. If we see this continuing we will be forced to disqualify contestants on a case by case basis.
To the vast majority of women that are playing fair, THANK YOU! We know who you are and we know you are the true leaders in this contest. There’s no place for dishonesty in this event and it plain and simple goes against the spirit of this competition. And, we all know karma can be a bitch.
