Trip out east

this christmas break, im planning to take a short trip to vermont from ohio. just wandering where i should go for the best all-around skiing. i was thing about stopping at whiteface, ny for a day and then going to jay/smuggs/mad river glen and stay at one of these for two days or go to two for one day each. any suggestions would help...

i wouldnt go to whiteface unless the weather is superb...which it probably wont be. head into VT and go to jay, stowe or smuggs. hit up mrg if its snowed A LOT!

when theres good snow stowe is a sick mountain, and they usually have some of the best snow in the east

we want to dki 4 days and have 2 days of driving... so i think we should go to resorts that are relatively close to eachother. ^isnt stowe preety far from jay and smuggs? also, we'd like to go somewhere with the minimal holiday crowd. keep the suggestions coming

umm u can ski from stowe to smuggs. I would go with Jay. better mountain and they get way more snow then anybody else.

well if ur driving u might as well drive to utah or colorado, not that much further and way worth it 10x over.

drive to vermont- about 10-11 hours
dive to colorado- about 20-25 hours

I would say go to Jay, Jay always gets good snow, mad river probably won't have the snow the way things are going. Stowe is sick, You can ride smuggs to stowe but you would need a pass at both, cause they got anal about that my friend got in huge shit for trying to get on a stowe lift to go back over.

Things arent lookin so good right now hopfully we get some snow soon otherwise that trip probly wont be worth the time. Jay only has 10 trails open but they should get some more open soon. 3 inches yesterday and hopfully some real snow coming up.
