I would no question recommend them if you dont want to spend forever loking for popped off skis. the only downside is, that if you really tomahawk, expect some slahes from your edges. that part is shity
haha... I don't use em and never will but how would the edges slash you? You guys don't actually connect them to your bindings and then tie the things to you do you? Their purpose is to make your skis visible if they tunnel down/get buried if/when they come off of your feet, NOT to create a permanent death cord attachment to your body... it'd be painful to the participant but pretty hysterical to see someone tomahawking with their skis tied to their legs via powder cords.
if you just want to make your skis easy to find in a deep powder release, tie a length of fluorescent orange flagging tape to your brake and stuff the excess in your pant leg. it's safe, virtually weightless and can save ridiculous amounts of time digging for a lost ski.
I had to use a leash after my binding brake blew off, there were two downsides, slow on/off cause u have to do up the the buckle, and you sometimes land on your skis when they pop off
there are more people talking about what they dont know in this thread then any other. Who cares, wear the leash and pay the consequences but reap the rewards. Its a trade off, end of story
