I used to smoke pot.... but the high it gave me... wasn't really worth it. Maybe it was just my social conscience getting at me, but I don't like the thought of an entire society addicted to substance abuse. I mean, what kind of stuff are our children going to be smoking, and what kind of effects will it have. I stopped smoking because I no longer felt the need to 'fit in' with my friends who did drugs, and also because I realized that if I really wanted to get something out of my life, I was going to go and get it for myself, and not let a drug get happiness for me.
Also, a lot of research has been going into the use of marijuana, and scientists have just recently found that the presence of THC in the body of the mother or even the father of a child can affect the mental and learning abilities of that child, and also testosterone levels. They're finding out new things every day about the stuff we put into our bodies...
