What happens if the people dont send equipment? Do I just get screwed out of the amount of money I sent them or do I just trust them? I dont get it.

There's no guarantee that you will get your stuff, if you want, you can buy through GearSwap, and then you will get reimbursed. People don't really rip each other off on this forum, I've never had any problems, and I've probably dealt with 20 people.

Read the stickied threads at the top of the forum. Then you should be pretty well informed.

you have to trust the people.
paypal does not insure your money. so when people say that, don't listen to it.

what i did that helped a lot is if they still live with their parents, get their house phone and talk to their parents and to the seller also so everyone is aware of the transaction. but yeah, trust is a lot, be patient; your not dealing with a company and some people may have family issues or whatever. its a risk you have to take but then again, were newschoolers, our generation is all about risk taking ;)
