I may be from MArquette, but my MLB team is the St. Louis Cardinals. AND they just WHOOOPED up on the Detroit Tigers!

you can't call them the world champions because theyre only better than teams in the US and Canada. The world series doesn't include any other countries so it is incorectly named. Just that I'd throw that out there

true true, I do not deny that, it just makes the effect of the WIN over Detroit more effective. I honestly think they should make a real world series and kindof did, with the WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC, which the U.S. only took 3rd but they also played it in March, when all the players are still lazy. I think the winner of the all continental series, should then play in NOV. Like CARDS against the best Japese team, and Dominican teams, THAT WOULD BE A REAL WORLD SERIES
