it keeps you warm by wicking your sweat away from your skin, and even a thin layer does help insulate you a lot more too, silk long underwear is super thing in friggin warm. I usually were some kinda long underwear under my snowpants and hot chilis under my jacket (best long sleeve long underwear money can buy!!) and if it's real cold a thinner helly hansen thing underneath the hot chilis.
i rock the under armour eve time. i just like it. i never overheat. and i ususally wear a long sleeve tee or short sleve plus a track jacket or fleece or hoodie. i still can move and groove and be at a good temp
depends if i'm just doing laps through the park or lines in the BC. if i'm in the park, i'll wear more layers because it's not much work and i never get too hot. In the BC, i usually wear a t-shirt and pajama pants with all my vents open and I still get too hot sometimes.
Depends on the day. When its spring, I will wear a tshirt or polo under a shell, with boxers and shorts over those. During the cold part of the year, I use either a Patagonia or DNA longsleeve synthetic top, with either Patagonia R2 insulation or a down vest under my shell and use Patagonia long johns to keep my legs warm under my pants that are lightly insulated. Year round I use smartwool socks, the best ones I have found yet.
its nice cuz the new oakley jacket i got has an extra zipper inside so you can zip up your fleese on the inside of it and only have to unzip your jacket to take both off. i wear long underwear usually, a couple t's or an underaurmor and t's. and you gotta rep a bandana if its cold :-D. even if it dont do too much, it looks pimp as hell.
ditch the t-shirt.. it just soaks up sweat. the underarour and fleece should be enough. if you need another layer get something other than cotten, like another underarour.
