That question have been asked and answered many times, but here are the diferences again:
1- the 1080 is like a X-wave 7, and the pro model is like the course( big difference, a racing Shell is way more performant than a recreational shell)
2-the 1080 is way softer than a pro model.
3- the Liner in a 1080 is like in a x-wave 7, i think its a comfor fit or something like that, and in the pro model, its the course CF one.
- X-Wave 7 liner: Thick, confortable,warm, not really performant
- Pro model liner: Thin(the feet is closer to the shell and that offer you more control), not really warm, really performant.
4- the power strap is way more resistant on a Pro model, if you pay attention, its way wider and stronger, so its more usefull.
5- the Buckle are more resistant on a pro model than on a 1080.
6-on a 1080, you have a plate of plastic that screwed under the boot at the rear. This plate allow you to change it if it comes to be used. Althoug, this plastic is more mellow, and you have less control and less performant than with the promodel, on which the sole is all in 1 piece.
-note that both boots have the absorb cushion insole under the liner.
Both boots are excellent, they are just not for the same person, the 1080 is more for a small person, more recreational skier, like a x-waves.
The pro model is either for a bigger person or a really performant skier that wants a stiff boot.
hope this answered all you questions, also note that next year pro model is the same except that there is a little bit of blue on the higher part of the liner. The 1080 is more toy-green than this year. Technically speaking, they are both the same boots as this year models.
