costs $100 for freight shipping of a 4 x 4 ft picece. do you guys actually pay 100+ dollars for this?

go to home depot or lowes and get a sheet of lexan, its a pretty big sheet and its only like 60$

i did, there was a 4 x 8 foot sheet for 75$ but isnt HDPE better?

thats alot cheaper than hdpe and it is just as strong as hdpe, you just need something under it to support it, like a board or something.
if you get thinner stuff, you dont need to try to countersink screws into it, you can get liquid nails stuff right next to the lexan and just put some on the board and stick the lexan to it. works like a charm

yeah its 3/32 inch thick for a 4 by 8 foot sheet. and the box frame i made was already planned to have 1inch thick board running the whole length underneath the sliding surface. i already got glue for gluing lexan and other plastic sheets.
