nope, snowboarding apparel is designed primarily for sitting down. the plus side is they do have sick ventillation for sitting in the lodge.

i just got a Burton jacket.. it even says "Burton" on the front! OH MY GOD! But, I like it a lot.
Who the hell cares?.. theyre just clothes! They all do the same thing. Keep you warm and dry.

oh, and to answer your question....a skier can not wear snowboard outerwear. You must be lying about wearing Burton pants. Outerwear made by snowboard compaines does not fit a skier. The way that the material is sewn is made to only fit a snowboarder, and no one else. So, it is neither legit, nor possible for a skier to wear burton, 686, analog, or any other snowboard brand for that matter. Gosh, what a stupid question.

i think he's wondering if he should instead make the call to wear a company that instead supports the skiing industry and sponsors skiers, like siver or orage.
dude, wear what you want. if you feel better about supporting skiers, support skiers, but you'd do just as well to wear burton that looks sick and throw down, and maybe kick a few bucks towards NS if it helps your conscience.
