Thruster vs. invader

Okay, well last year my invaders broke (i'm not sure if any of you remember the thread or not), but since i got them from backcountry.com, they said that i could either get new invaders, or i could get a different ski.  I've been thinking about it, and the thrusters look pretty cool, but i don't really want to pay $150 extra to get new skis (especially if they loose their pop earlier than most skis because of the foam core).  What should I do, get new invaders or new thrusters?

well, if i ahd my way (which i dont) i would go with thrusters. cause they look sick. and i thik salomons would be fine for a season

Thrusters all the way bro..I rode the thrusters last year and i loved them, sooo much fun, but i dont know if they changed anything, it looks like they might have changed some dimensions, but idk

invaders are straight bullshit. get thrusters for sure. they're actually a fun ski. invaders are worth their weight in shit out of the park. and they're worth about the same amount of shit in the park. such a shitty ski.

assuming they fixed there "delam problem" there still going to be a soft ski and its almost to soft. i went threw 4 pairs last year with in a month and a half. then i bought thrusters. i love my thrusters. next to no swing weight and poppy but still kinda soft. u can still butter. go with the invader

you are a fucken idiot and should not be allowed to ever post on here again invaders are a real fun park ski mostly everyone that rode them loved them and now that they fixed the delam problem they are even better and they can hold up outside the park i would go into pow but if your just chillen and the park is down you can still ride hem and have a great time and even better they have a WOOD core

not to cause drama, but im pretty sure mark (snowtrails mark) knows alot more than you do about any ski. this guys is a ski salesman and knows his shit. hes seen his fair share of invaders break with in the first few days. i got one of my replacement pairs in. they told me that "the problem was fixed". they delamed with in 4 hours on 3 tips. there shitty.

look, don't be salty because invaders suck and everyone knows it. they're too soft and they delam and snap all the time. i've seen countless pairs of invaders explode after only a couple of runs. if you truly love invaders, that can only mean one thing: you ski through the park at about 4 miles per hour and don't actually hit any features. so yes, if you ski less than 10 miles per hour and snake people all day, then invaders are a great ski. if you actually ride, you can do much better than the invader.

well, for a ski salesman, insulting the customer cant be good for sales. and i rode invaders and loved them. such a sick park ski. and i handeled out of the park just as well on them. im on EC and i must say, LINE knows their shit, and the invader is where its at. i warrentied my invaders for anthems...and i cant fuckin wait till i ride those babys.

so my vote for u is invader

i normally don't deal with customers who attack me via online message boards. if you like the invaders... good for you. i just think that if you're going to be doing any sort of serious park skiing, a more substantial ski would be highly beneficial.

so we know why the invaders suck...but everyone is juss saying the thrushters are sweet is there any reason why they are sweet? like why should i buy a pair of thrusters?

i have 03-04 salomon 1080's and they are pretty good, they havent lost theier pop and ive been skiing them for 2 years now. ive herd that the invaders delam really fast though, so im not too sure.

i spoke to a friend of mine in Co. who is sponsored by line and he said "the new invaders are much more solid but still have the same problem. it just takes longer for it to happen.i went threw 2 pair in a month."


i have both skis. i would choose the thruster over the invader any day. not as much swing weight, can still butter, tons of pop. just overall a better ski.

The Thruster will not lose it's pop after only 1 season because of a foam core. More like 2 seasons which is how long a wood core ski lasts.

the only advantage of the invader that i noticed is the edges. the invader edges were solid as fuck. my thrusters were pretty weak. i do a ton of rails and i ski HARD!

just a question but do you have invaders?  they are probably the funnest ski i've ever had because of the butter zones, and outside of the park they really aren't bad at all
