What's up all you riders. It's been a long time since I have been on this board, it's seems different. Anyway living and working at Baker was a blast, sorry I didn't get to ride with many of you much, I didn't ski in bounds much at all this winter, the only worth while snow was in hiking distance. But anyway, If you guys Like Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, O.A.R., Dispatch, Dave Matthews kind of music, I have some buddies from cali that in my opinion should own the Genre. You might of heard of them, most likey not. They are called ' Speechwriters LLC ' They have a really good melodic sound, and the gutiar is a lot more sophisticated than it sounds at first. You should be able to find them on kazaa lite, just keep searching and you should get some songs up. Here is the band's website. http://www.speechwritersllc.com
here is a link for a few songs to download.

Anyway, the snow is pretty much gone for me, and it is time to move on to clean barrels and crisp wakes because it's Surfing and wakeboarding season. Check out the band though, they are so good. Keep riding,
Paul

~*I'm going skiing, it's pretty weird
when I get to the top of the slopes
I look down on the mountain side
should I traverse cross country, snow plow or parallel
or hit a mogul, baby, and watch me slip and slide
I might even do some free ride*~

Yeah, the stuff really grows on you. After meeting and talking about music and life with Dave and Misha ( speechwriters llc) I am really hooked. And now after watching them play live at a few shows I really noticed how musically advanced thier stuff is. Here are some of my favorite tracks.
Annie Dan
Maestro's rocket ship
The ballad of Johnny Lo
Acetate
Sweet Verity
Beach song
Clones.
What the hell every song is my favorite. I really can't stress if you like that kind of sound Try to find these guys stuff.

I like the new Jack CD. There are a few songs that are older that just got studio recorded and they sound great, and are pretty good songs. I didn't hear much about it coming out, or anything I have kind of been living in isolation at Mt. Baker for the past while. Yeah that's what I said when I first heard the cd playing. Pretty good, not amazing. I guess if you compare them to some of the Legends of Jam like Phish or the Dead, but I would say it's some of the better post punk, modern folk, indie, college what ever you want to call it sound. Maybe I just sound like a groupee because I know the guys and want more people to experience them. But yeah i know what you mean, good, not great. Hopefully you guys can relate to a lot of songs
