So I broke my Femur two years ago.. I've had a lot of time to think about having this scar, and I finally had my last surgury in August (or so I think). It's time to start thinking of the tattoo to make it look less ugly.
How would something like this look? (this is just a rough photoshop image)
I dont think he remembers that incorrectly...they didnt say you cant tattoo over a sar...but they said they wouldnt suggest it....and they do know what they are doinbg those guys are sick
Listen, he specifically said that they said you can't do it. Check his post. And I remember an episode where they did tattoo over a scar that a girl had on her back.
^^
well sorry mr i am so smart... to be honest though as a common sense point of view, i dont think the scar tissue would be able to absorb the ink, but i unno maybe im just stupid just like the guy above me said..
my friend has been a tat artist for years and he tats over scars all the time. Its just a matter of how long you wait to do it. The longer you wait, the better the tattoo will look because the scar has healed and settled.
I know a lot of tattoo artists wont even consider tattooing over a scar. The make up of a scar is different than normal skin...ie its a keloid so it wont tattoo like the normal skin next to it. Thus even a good tattoo artists work can look horrible if it crosses a scar. I know plenty of kids with tattoos that work around their scars but very few who have them over them and those usually look terrible.
i don't know about you, but from my ACL scar that thing is so sensitive and hurts like a bitch whenever i touch it. i would die from pain if i ever got something tatooed on it. but good luck with that. plus ink probably isnt good for it. it is a sick idea tho!
dont tattoo over a scar. ive talked with a few people back in burlington who definately know their shit (yankee tattoo), definately not recommended. itll look like shit fool. especially with something as detailed as a skier on that skier, you wouldnt be able to make things out really.
only problem with that is, it really doesnt do you the job of covering the scar, and making it any bigger would look dumb because its not proportional... but still, fuckin go for it!
I'm not trying to Cover the scar at all.. and that is just a 5 minute photoshop of an idea of what I would like.
And it's a pretty gnarly scar, I had an allergic reaction to the dressing they used when they stapled me back up, so I'm not really looking for the most "clean" tattoo ever.
get a pro artist do do it up nice for you so it look sgood give them alot of control from that base idea, it looks like hes sliding the scar though...steeze
