Buy a Mac, be Cool

Anyone notice that it seems to be a growing fad where people buy a mac to try and fit a certain image? Like, it probably makes things worse for them since all they do is use MSN and other Microsoft products, but still go through with buying a Mac because of the image.

Anyway, I'm just letting you guys know that I'm going to each one of these people to steal their computer.

uhm, any microsoft made program works fine on a mac. People are just realizing macs are the shiznit, .

It's like buying a car, would u rather get the Ford or the BMW if you could?

I have a mac because its powerfull and it has the applications I wanted for editing. The fact that it suposedly increas's my cool factor is simply a added bonus

You can tell when someone is buying it for the image when, instead of saying "my computer" or "my laptop", they say "my mac" or "my macbook". I've noticed it with two people I know who bought macbooks, they always mention their macbooks.

Same goes with people who cut out the apple logo and tape it onto their stuff, or wear apple t-shirts or whatever.

instead of my "computer" i usually say "my macpro" simply because i want give credit where credit is due, and i bought my mac for a purpose because no other system out there has the capabilities that mac does in media/artisitc software and no other platform can compare to a dual core intel processor with 2.0 ghz of RAM

steve, u get apple stickers when u buy a mac. And usually if you say "my computer", people ask what kind of comp u have. If u just say "my mac" it saves that question. Besides, Macs are not just "a computer", they are Macs, made by apple. They are in a totally different category.

I find that many people are indeed switching to mac just to be part of the fashion movement. I'm constantly seeing people with their new mac laptops that have no idea how to use them and don't get any of it. I don't mind if you buy the computer for the computer cuz that's what most ppl do and I love macs all the way, but it does get to me when some ppl just get them for the fad.
