Buttering question...

i can butter pro on carpet but when i get on snow i cant do it that well, ive been doin them on the old scratch bc's which are pretty soft but it hurts my calfs a ton...does thiss happen to everyone

they go over the straps at the top of your boot and they just give you a tighter fit to your leg...they were originally for racers but now park skiers are using them more cause they help your shins out

yeah, the reduce shin bang and stuff. might not help a whole lot if its the pressure thats hurting your shins, but adding booster straps isn't a bad idea. if you do it enough, they will get used to it.

detune your tips end edges a lil, it helps keep the ski from darting off and hooking up when you pressure the tips. its key

build up your calf muscles, and dont giver first day. build up to it and at the end of the season your caves should be so adapted/numbed from it that you could butter all day long.

old scratch BCs are not very good for buttering, they flex in the wrong places, it's really REALLY hard on those I've noticed.
