I turn it on, and the first story is about a local man who was stabed and died and they tell his best friend on TV and film him for like 20seconds crying.
Who the fuck lets this shit run?
Dave Chappelle was right, TV will play anything.

The Chinese and the muslims are more agreesive then the white man.
Now we are going to pay for it unless we get our ass in gear.

people are just soo desensitsed to everything....we play first person shooters, kill people in games, see it on the news, movies, everything, soo no one cares anymore. It such bullshit. Then you get kids going :"Ohh yeah, im a man, i gonna go in the middle east kill some people, its going to be awsome." Then they get there and shit their pants because it is just soo real....people exploading, buddies dying. I just turn of the TV, read only the wheels/comics section of the news paper, and watch ski movies. I know alot of people are going to say that is ignorant, but its just rotting our minds man. I like to form my own opinion, i don't need the media to tell me what to think.

I have never met anyone that says they wanted to go into Iraq and it's going to be awesome. I mean I'm sure there's a few whackos, but you are blowing that matter WAY out of proportion. We're not even that desensitized to killing. Death has always been a part of life. Saying no one cares is so wrong it's not even funny.
You need a basis to form your opinion on. Watching the news is such a good thing. You don't have to believe or take everything so literally that they say, but at least you get a general conception. You're rotting your own brain by not caring. Watch the news, just don't watch it blindly.

Sure...cause you have CNN who is on bush's balls, or FOX, who are on their dicks. CBC is partly owned by the government. I wasn't talking about Iraq....i was talking about candian troops going into Afganistan.
If the media is owned by everybody, and they make the reporters subeject their views to their opinion....who am i to trust. Seriously. I see bits and pieces of what happens, and then i run with it. People obviously don't care, since everybody was soo gungho on going into iraq. Did anybody in the states care about what the iraqs thought about it all, no. They just went in.

You are a fool if you think blowing game characters up in Halo 2 makes anyone say they want to blow people up in Iraq. If anything we here in America are shielded from all the real shit and we feed ourselves fake shit because of it.
Stop bitching about the news being bad, thats the way it is. You can read your comics section of the newspaper and think you're a rebel but in reality you're just being an idiot.

not owned in the sense that it is told what to report but subsidized with our tax dollars so that there could a network that broadcasts canadian content when our tv channels are becoming a melting pot to american owned networks. there are still slants in the cbc towards the liberal past considering in the past our country was once a liberal majority and thats what people wanted to see. you must be blind if you can't read between the lines of their news reports on harper or the troops in afghanistan.
