Retard + offroading =..........(this is the F-UR-CAR-UP thread)
a mutha f'n busted radiator! i went down this fairly steep, but easy incline in my '97 mountaineer and was gonna light (it was nit time) the incline so my friends in the nicer SUV's (Xterra, Jeep Liberty, H3) could see better than i did. so on my way to turn around, i was looking over at the hill and not in front of me, AS THE GUY RIDING WITH ME SAYS "DO YOU SEE THAT ROCK!?!?" and i said yes (thinking he meant the one freakin 50ft away) and as i finished saying yea.....SLAM!!! i plowed this 3-ft high sharp as shit rock and absoultely destroyed the thing that holds all my anti-freeze and mashed up my radiator and front bumper a little. i feel like a total dousche bag...and my mom is a substitute teacher, and we all kno there isnt a non-bitchy one in the world, so yea...shes PISSED! so im lookin at about $150 for a radiator and hopefully thats it-and maybe some gorilla glue for the bumper and i dnt think its too hard to put in. i kinda lucked out and maybe sweated it a little too much, but it still sucks.
are there any other poor souls out there that have smashed their car doin somethin totally sweet and freakin reatrted?
i dont understand the "first" concept. i just want someone to donate t o the give deak some money for a new radiator fund...or tell me how they screwed up their car.
yup, blew my radiator the other day too, fan belt snapped wrapped around fan, seized the fan inside the water pump shearing it off sending chunks of metal around in my engine bay, blew to 6 inch holes in my shroud shredded all my belts blew metal off my ac compressor and alternator (prob just cosmetic though) and blew a 2 inch hole through my radiator. Sucks eh, but at least you can find parts i have to fabricate some stuff for mine, usually fun but because i want my car back its gay.
flooded my altinator going through a river crossing in a 80 series land cruiser. then fucked over the front end and windscreen by hitting a roo at about 120km/hr last week. also rolled my holden 1 tonne ute in a ditch and flooded the motor and the front cab. but apart from that nothing else severe.
thats bullshit man, dont take shit like this from your car, take a dookie on the engine, and run the piss outta it and laugh laugh laugh as it has to run with melted poo on its head.
if you are really wheeling, usually you haven't had a good day if you can drive your rig home. But yeah night time can be real sketch with out good lamps.
I was once driving down this gravel path (going like 50-60k)and i came around a corner and there was a guy walking his dog. I slammed on the brakes, and just at the end of the skid i hit a tree. I had to buy a new bumper for my truck (86 toyota pickup). Obviously that wasn't a big deal, i almost killed a guy, some scary shit. Don't mess around where people walk.
The other time i was driving down a steep windy gravel road, started skidding around a corner. I did my best to control the skid, but i lost it. Long story short i went over the ditch, hit a much bigger tree.... this time pure accident, but i still dropped about 15-20 feet down... I smashed the roof of my truck in, smashed in the windshield. Then a guy came and pulled us out with a truck, and i reconnected the battery and drove home... this is why toyotas are the best. My brother had a terrible black eye (he wasn't wearing his seatbelt.). I was fine since i was belted, but i would have been fucked otherwise.
ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT
The front wheel is way off alignment, so i have no idea how to fix it... the damage is more then the truck is worth, but i wanna cut the roof and doors off and make it a pure wheeling machine, but i don't know how to fix Toyota IFS. I can't tell if just the tierod is bent, or if its the Chassis or the A arm or something. Any ideas anyone?
i once went through a pond in my 98 explorer and coming out of it i fucked up my radiator. then my dad put the truck on ebay where some dumbass bought it for 1500 knowing the radiator and shit was fucked up
i know this guy who was driving in a field, and something caught fire... anyways, it got to his tank and the truck blew up (it was also an explorer) and the thing flipped over. talk about being lucky to be alive....
i bought a jeep comanchi for 400 bucks and it runs so i go 4x4ing it all the time + it doesn't shift gears except when you rev the snot out of it so we have this big feild in the back and we drive around it in second gear (pretty fast because it doesnt shift at slow speeds) so this one time it was slippery out and i hit this medium left 180degree turn and i couldent make the turn and we slammed into like 5 trees luckly their were only like 9 inchs in diameter so the truck snapped em in half and we broke like 5 trees down and stalled the truck but nothing was really broken so we just backed it out ad drove it home.
