Yea on the weekends it's not really even worth going. If you can go on the weekdays its not that busy. I went last thursday, and went straight through the singles line each time, and had virtually no wait hiking the rails.

yea during the week a-basin isnt too bad, today for instance it was only about a 8-10 min wait in line, and the singles line was moving pretty fast. this past weekend though was a fuckin shit show

you are stupid. those rails suck ass. i would rather go 50 miles an hour hauling ass downhill and have a bunch of gapers as living gates then hit a 5 foot flat rail

You shouldn't be skiing in Summit County then.

haha weird^^ i was just about to post something very similar then i saw your post. basin is decent right now.. 15' flat box, 15' c box, and a 15' shotgun, nothing special but it beats sitting on the couch.. and if theres a long lift line just take it once and hike rails the whole time, we did sunday and it wasn't bad at all

loveland has been fun, and the line hasnt been that crazy. Flat box/rail & a flat/up/flat box. Could certainly use a bit more mid-day maintenance tho.

how many kids in the park are gapers? mabye like 1 for every 15? how many gapers are just skiing the normal run? like 14 for every 15, or pretty much all of them.

did you see the part where i said i use the gapers as living gates?

haha very good point.. most 'gaper' kids are intimidated by some of the skill in the park, so they stick to the runs.. as well as their younger brother or sister who have a leash attached to them, the parents towing them, the grandpa behind them, the rednecks with their jeans tucked into their rear entry boots, etc.. so go ahead, stick to the trails and stay out of the park if you want to. more room for me and the others.

i do make turns, on the way to the tiny rails. it's not like we're talking about world class runs vs. tiny rails here.. its 2 runs.. its the end of october and you're talking about skiing 2 runs using gapers as 'living gates' vs. some small rails.. you're just not that core my friend.

if i were to go up on a weekday when there was nobody hitting the rails i would def hike it but its no fun when there are 75 teenage kids standing around. i prefer hauling ass down and making turns.

im simply saying making turns is more fun then hitting tiny rails early in the season. im not a park rat, i prefer making turns

As do I, but you're not 'simply' saying it. You attack people by saying things like:
"you are stupid. those rails suck ass. i would rather go 50 miles an hour hauling ass downhill and have a bunch of gapers as living gates than hit a 5 foot flat rail"
or
"its sad that you would rather hike tiny rails then make some turns."
You have to understand that some people are park rats and you still have to give them respect.

^^^ same, basin should hopefully be not too packed.. last i heard they had a pretty decent downrail setup. but that's gay, i rather make turns going 100mph and use orphan babies as gates.

UPDATE: A-Basin has an up-flat box, a tabletop box, a downrail, c box, and just a regular box. They have 2 chairs running and 5 runs open. Crowds were no longer than 10 minutes today on a monday.

also, it should be known that the second chair he mentioned is the chair that takes you to the top.. so you can make some turns for a while before you even get to the 'park'. definitely worth checking out now if you havent already.

It was my first day up so I dunno what's changed but they have a c box, up flat box, butter box?, flat box, down shotgun rail I think that's it. There are 2 lifts open. You can go all the way to the top, and then proceed to get to the bottom in 2 minutes.

never said i was gonna do it all homie.. just letting people know what's going on.. plus, if i wanted to it wouldn't really be that hard.. ski til 330 or 4, see borat at 7, catch gwar come on at 930 or 10 (headlining bands dont usually come on til at least 10 anyway).. so it wouldn't really be that hard...
