Interesting Facts.

I attended an intro. meeting today for the University of Toronto - Managment.  I live about 40 minutes away from toronto, and its safe to say in my classes in school in grade 12 right now 75% are caucasain (including me).

So my mother and I drive down to this meeting, and get there early because we dont want to be late. We arrive and there are about 100 volunteers all in red shirts. I failed to see one caucasian volunteer in my 4 hours of being at the school.

Anyways, we get pointed into the direction of  the seminar room where this "meeting" was being held. Of course, we get there, and were greated by some more east indian/ africian american/ asian volunteers. We then enter this room, and there is no one inside. So my mom and i take a seat, and start watching as people enter the room. After 10 minutes there was roughly 40 people in the room, and me and my mom were the only caucasians there. Then we see another mom and son of the same race walk in. Eventually the room filled up (over 100 people) and there was maybe 4 familys (including me) of the caucasian race.

I guess it was a real eye opener. I have never been in a situation like this before, and now i know how it feels back in public school when there was that one "black" kid in your class. I was basically him (with my mom), and you feel so out of place its rediculous.

The last interesting thing was the physical fitness area. This really intreaged(sp?) me. The two people behind the info desk were caucasian. The recreation volley ball game that i saw going on through a small window quickly, ALL caucasian. The fitness room in the basement, all but two caucasians. So you have a class full of non-caucasians ready to get striaght down into buisness literally, and then you go check out who is working out physically and its the oposite. Kind of interesting, does anyone have any thoughts, views, opinions on this?
