After watching clips of Wislon, Dumont and Spong all take insane crashes last season, its getting pretty clear that the danger of "park" skiing is getting pretty fucking serious. Skiing is always trying to go bigger and faster, and consequently the injuries are more common and more severe. So my question is are we gonna have to start boosting up safety, ie. body armor, padding for coming up short on jumps and the deck of halfpipes (i know it already exists)and make these sort of precautions as common as wearing helmets, or are we just gonna see how much the human body can take? Comments?
