What is the general outlook for this winter on the East Coast from el nino. I heard its more of a thing thats going to effect the mid-west, resulting in the east having a colder and snowier winter. I also heard the opposite. Anyone wanna attempt to explain what this all means to me?

from what i heard is that the temp is gonna be a little above normal but we are gonna have a ton of precip so i dont know if that means more snow than rain or more rain than snow but not much can be worse than last year

If I remember correctly, the east coast is slightly warmer during el nino years (not too affected really). The southern west coast gets a lot more precipitation (california), and the PNW should be drier, depending on the intensity (FUCKING SON OF A BITCH). And in South America, all hell breaks loose, it's usually cooler and wetter around Peru, and drier around the Indian Ocean as well.
All times are Eastern (-5)
