Taking Back Sunday not broken up

Rumors have been flying all over the internet in recent days many started by those oh-so-reputable 'news' sites out there saying that Victory Records stars Taking Back Sunday have thrown in the towel. Here is an official statement from the band:
'We know there are many rumors and speculations going on about the status of Taking Back Sunday. There have been a series of personal events with members of the band. Right now the five of us really need some time to devote to our personal well-being.
We can't apologize enough to the people who this affects. Our fans have been there to support us 100% and we've always held that the closest to our hearts. The business surrounding this crazy thing we've been doing has been supportive as well and we've constantly been thankful. This isn't meant as something to harm that or the people involved. It is an attempt to protect and honor the value of what you've all been generous enough to appreciate. We need very much to take a step back at this time and we truly thank you for even considering understanding.'
The band has cancelled their upcoming appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, but has not announced yet whether or not this will affect their scheduled headlining spot on the Warped Tour this year. We'll keep you posted.

wow shit that sucks they were my favorite band! I almost cried when they broke up for a little back in 2003. But i stuck with it and listened to their record everyday and they got back together. YAY. RIP TBS

so i was just looking at your website and watching those live performances of yall and going psycho, of course. then it hit me.
i love yall to death. i really do. i don't know what i would have done without your music. it's really helped me just get through life. every time i'm sad or angry or even happy, your music just puts my mood even higher. but what sucks is that i'm probably never going to meet you guys.

so basically it's my life goal to meet yall. your music has inspired me to make my own music! actually, my life goal is to go on tour with you guys, but i doubt that's gonna happen. that's just what i really really REALLY want. adam, fred, matt, eddie, mark... you guys are my heros. my true, honest-to-god, amazingly GORGEOUS heroes. i don't know if i could even still be alive if i didn't know who yall were! and it's not just the music. from watching all the home videos [which you haven't made in a while, i should add] or the making of your music videos or just any random video i find of yall--and trust me, that's a lot!--i've come to love not only the music but you guys too. well, from what i know of you, anyways. i can't say i love you guys because i really don't know the real YOU. i know the YOU that you show to us fans. but anyways... back to what hit me.
