Crocheting visor beanies

I was trying to figrue out a GOOD way to make visors work with crocheting. Ive been making hats now for about 3 years and havent really found a solid way to make it. Let me know if any of you guys are successful with it.

Heres a picture of this dudes hats i found. I dont know his name to give him recognition but it looks like hes selling them in pictures catagory.

i dont know how to make visors but i like the loose stitches on that hat, iv been using tighter stiches lately and my hats are a little stiff

make two earflaps pretty much one on top of the other and stick some milk jug plastic or something in there for it to keep its shape and then crochet it closed. I find brims turn out better when u use a single strand of yarn for them and make them tighter.

oh its so easy i made my first yesterday, just make the hat a lil big and then basically do it like an earflap but huge, fold it back and put some cardboard or plastic in it and seal it up

what i do is make two seperate identical pieces, starting with a chain stitch about 25 stiches long, and then do around three to four rows tall. attatch the pieces to the hat, and then put the plastic where it should be, and stich a border on the pieced and/or the rest of the hat. voila.

i dont crochet, but i found an incredibly effective way to knit them. i start off at the inside of the brim, a certain number of stiches. using a pattern i toss together, you take off stiches at the ends to create the round shape of the visor, and add stiches at certain incriments in the middle, to make it wrap around your head. the result is a perfect crescent moon shape that makes killer visors. then on the hat, i knit a curve into the bottom where the brim attaches, so it doesnt distort it, and it holds it in place.
