i ordered mine form them, but hey took so long and kept telling me sometime this week, that i found them at a shop for the same price and bought them there.
the shop by my house had them for 399, i couldnt pass it up cause it came with free custome fitting and a discount on a custom insole. i feel i won on that deal
i was in ken jones (proctorjones.com store) and the guy told me they should be recieving all of there boots by friday. then everything will be shipped out
These boots are not just hype. I skied in them all last season and these boots held up so sick. I'm 186 lbs and 5'11 and I was in a world cup boot before. The SPK boots were just the right flex for me to do what I wanted.
anyone who buys boots online without even trying them on is completly retarded! I really wanted the spk boot BUT then I tryed them on! If you have a narrow foot like I then the SPK is the wrong boot for you! so I bought the rampages instead!
I have a pir of SPKs had them for awhile now, provided ive never actually skied in them, ive spent alot of time with them on my feet and i have had a couple urband with them, basically they dont feel like a ski boot, very comfortable, extremely light and on par with the flex feel of a rossi race boot, which i was in for multiple years. totally recommend them.
nicest compared to what? rental boots? i tried them on and firstly, if your foot is not D+ in width, they are going to feel too wide and your foot will slide around. second, they actually felt softer laterally than frontwards. it felt like when i was flexing them, all i was doing was compressing the super thick tongue. i feel like the lange freeride 120 flexes better than these things do. granted, i havent skied in the SPK so i cant make any claims on whether it will perform well or not, but from what i can tell by trying it on, it definately would not work for me.
why is there no footboard? glen heel is good but you still can smash the balls of your feet. also i thought i saw a rubbery footboard and a gel tough when i was showed them last winter? did they take those features out to save money or am i mistaken?
flex like a rossi race boot????? uh, arent the spks an 85 flex. if so that is insanely soft so how would they feel like plug boots. everyone says they are super stiff but i just dont understand how they could be with the rating they are given
well considering i've seen them for $399 CDN you didn't get too much of a deal seeing as though custom fitting should always be free. at least it is in toronto.
i know i have posted this in almost every thread about how the spks are "insanely stiff" but seriously do you think they would make a park boot that was race stiffness... i dont think so. it is one of the softest in the salomon line.
