Any opinion on a good binding for deep powder days and some moderate cliff drops. I have a marker comp 14 free on a set of volkl explovies. i was thinking of changing to a vist/4frnt binding, same company, mounted to a 115waist ski. LEt me know what you would go with.
that wasn't a suggestion, he was laughing at markers and how bad they are. definitely got with the deadbolts, solid binding, wide scre pattern that's not going to rip out, you won't be dissapointedby the 4frnt/Vist/Nordicas.
what you said you wanted to do and markers just didnt mix.
...but seriously, 4frnts would be fine. 916's, 914 zzlab's, fks155/188, and p18 would also be great choices for a binding that will last. the only thing to stay away from is a) markers and b) nordicas because they arent the same as the 4frnts.
Pretty much any look/rossi high did binding will do, i.e. fks, scratch, ect. Or, if you want to head towards the 4frnt direction, i would recomend the 818 or whichever one fits your height/weight din requirement. Both are solid bindings and you cant go wrong with either.
not necessarily...older look/rossi bindigns with the pivot heal had a pretty close screw patter, prone to rip out of fat skis. You can go with the newer px ones with a wider screw pattern tho. To be safe, helicoil them.
