Epic Journey to Buffalo, NY...

So I got out of my last class at 3 oclock yesterday afternoon, stop by my buddies room. He tells me that Buffalo has gotten 2 feet of snow and starts trying to convince me that we need to go and ski. I was just like, dude, you're crazy, it's over 5 hours away. So 15 minutes later we were in my car leaving Potsdam, NY on the way to Buffalo. 5 hours later we got our first glimpse of snow and the mission of the trip was completed, seeing snow in October. We ended up setting up a couple not so successful rails and drops around UB, but let me tell you, it was good to see snow again. We left Buffalo around 2 a.m. and headed back to the north country. After watching a tranformer on a telephone pole blow up for a while (which was fucking awesome), we got gas just off the thruway and a crazy guy almost blew up the whole place with his cigarette. It was wild. All in all, it was a hell of a trip. Here's to spontaneous journey's across NY state!

Are there any good places to ski by Potsdam? I'm going to school there and I don't know of any ski hills by it. I'll prolly be going to Whiteface and VT.
All times are Eastern (-5)
