NAIT or SAIT. well i am applying to colleges soon, in like a couple months, and what do you think is the better city? NAIT is in edmonton and calgary has SAIT. its pretty much the same college, jsut in a different city. im going there for their chemical engineering diploma. well i want to atleast
i've never actually been to edmonton. but i have friends at school there (from vancouver), and i've been in calgary for the last 4 years for school, at u of c.
calgary is much closer to mountains and skiing, and cop is better than edmonton's local hills for park anyways, and is in the city so it's easier to get to if you don't have a car. it's not as cold in the winter. that was enough to make my decision.
have you looked into bcit in vancouver though? i would pick living in vancouver over calgary, which is why i'm going back to bc in december!
Calgary is by far the better city, all Edmonton has is a mall. They're 4 hours from the nearest decent hill, and Calgary is like an hour, plus COP usually has a decent park. I just like Calgary more in general, I think it has better weather and it seems cleaner.
Calgary hands down. Edmonton is four hours or more to worse skiing than you can get to in an hour and a half from Calgary. Edmonton has little hills to ski on in the city but Calgary has COP which is better than any of Edmontons. The bottom line is if you like skiing go to SAIT.
not to mention you will find a job that pays $12-15+ close to school and will work around your hours. alberta is so desperate for workers. plus the SAIT setup is pretty good. the lrt runs right through the school. you can get to downtown calgary in 4 minutes.
