all of my dumbass friends that have wasted there time and gone to holiday valley brag about how much better holiday valley is.. yeah they got some more runs but there all either narrow or not spaced out and its only 750 foot verticall and bristol is like 1200?..yeahh what are your thoughts cause personally i think holiday valley is a waste of time
bristols park is at least 40 times better holiday valleys rails are always sticky and are built for snowboarders and everything in there park is built horribly
I got a pass for HV this year (college in the 716) and only hit up Bristol a couple times but it's a fact, they got blown out of the water by Bristol overall.
The park at Bristol this year was just dope.
Even if you didn't have to deal with the bullshit (fences set up wrong and everyone and their brother standing in the middle of the funnel with their step in binding snowboards) they still didn't have their features maintained as nicely.
Agreed, HV is great, especially this year, but Bristol still is the best park in WNY. It has much vertical, own lift, and much more flow ad features. HV is at a natrual disadvantage because of the smaller vertical.
Sorry to snipe and old thread but Bristol's biggest downside is that slow-ass park lift. It takes what feels like 10 minutes and makes the mountain feel so much more crowded than it should. Speed that lift up or move one park to another lift line.
to be honest im really impressed by holiday valley not for the size of the mountain but what they make of it; great lighting, a lot of good tree skiing, tons of powder and really fast lifts. But their park definitely suffers from a lack of maintenance and always gets rock hard
