So I live across the street from WWU in bellingham, WA. Anyway, I live with a buddy who snowboards park. Thats all he does, he is sick, but thats all he does. I wanted to get a pass to Mt. Baker for the BC, but I would be all alone. He wants a pass to seymour, in BC. Which is about 400 Bucks USD, alot cheaper than baker. But the problem is, how hard is it to go over the boarder. Liek I would be going about 3 times a week, so do you think we would get searched a lot? Can you buy an express pass or something that allows you to skip the lines? or skip the interrogation?
Sorry i didn't finish. So is it worth to get a pass at seymour. Because basicly baker doesn't have any night skiing, and my classes are during the day. So i wouldn't even get my money's worth no? what are you other kids in bellingham doing?
i've been stuck at the border for 3+ hours and it sucks, sometimes they search you hardcore and sometimes they just let you go. it helps if you have a passport. I live close to the WWU campus and if you ever need a ride to baker let me know. whistler college passes are a good deal too.
but how do you fit skiing into you schedule if they don't even have night skiing. I'm not saying that baker isn't sick, or that seymour is better, but I'm saying what are my options here. What are you guys doing, anyone at WWU?
Jordan, we already talked about this. Go Baker all the way. Waiting at the border, esp around the holidays is gonna be a bitch... Like thanksgiving and Christmas and new years... unless you head back down here, you're not gonna want to fight the traffic.
well if your classes are during the day and youre trying to get to seymour in the afternoon/evening, not only would you have to deal with the border (which really isnt all that bad a lot of the time) but depending on the time, deal with vancouver rush hour, and since they only have 1 weird freeway, it is worse than Seattle traffic
the best option is to get a convenient schedule, if it is possible. maybe even take an online class or something that could satisfy a requirement. get more time on the mountain.
