Ive noticed that every pro skier is short. I searched google on skiers bio, the tallest pro i could find is Josh Bibby and hes 6' 0'' most skiers were 5' 8'' and 5' 9''. Is it possible to be a pro skier if your over 6' 0'' tall.
yea it is but the taller u are the harder it is, cause u have a high center of gravity and it tends to be easier to flail and get bucked (this is along the lines what pete o said a while ago)
tallest is liam downey at 6'5" i think, then john spriggs at 6'4", and peter olenick at 6'1", i stood next to josh bibby and he seemed taller than 6', jacob wester is also pretty tall. You just gotta work a little harder to get yo steeze on.
I honestly don't think height matters ither way. I do a bit of my riding with some mad taller people. My buddy Duce is 6'4 and can usually whoop mad ass on tricks but it looks less fluid because his body is naturally more dangly and he's like EMO skinny.
tricks are relevant to height..i dont think a smaller person has an easier time at a certain trick than a taller guy...everybody's body is relevant to their own..its just harder to make it look good
shorter/lighter people probably are better in the air. Same reason, you see so many short/light gymnasts. At the same time, you never see short/light downhill racers. probably cuz they need more stability?
