Alright kiddies. here's another railjam for all of you.
[B]The Flying Penguin Railjam in Mankato, MN
when: Friday October 20th from 2-7pm
where: Buster's Bar, 1325 E. Madison Ave., Mankato, MN[/B]
For anyone who came last year, Buster's bar is right across the street diagonally. It's a bigger parking lot, a bigger setup, and there's better lighting. It will have a similar setup to last year for the big ramp, with a second smaller ramp being assembled also. Last year the big ramp was 12 or 14 ft i think. there will also be a 8 ft or so ramp.
There will be the same flat down box i think and also a few different rails for the smaller box. that's all still being worked out.
There will be open practice from 2-5pm and a comp will start at 5.
The comp is ten bucks to enter with 100% payback plus prizes. last year the comp went too long with the jam format so this year the comp will be limited to 3 runs per skier or boarder, then a finals round. (last year we gave away about $600 in cash)
Last year we gave away a rediculous amount of stuff and this year will be even better. showing up in full force will be reps from red bull, Atomic, DNA, Special Blend, Forum, Foursquare.
and now for the fine print. if you are under 18, your parents must sign a waiver for you. if this is a problem for you, you can call the shop at (507) 345-4754 and they will fax you a waiver form.
last year there were about 120 riders throughout the day, so get there early. it's gonna be huge!!!

you can get there whenever but the comp starts at 5 so the open session will prolly end at like 430 or 445 to clean up the setup
and that friday most people don't have school because it's MEA weekend.
I'll prolly be driving down from minneapolis (uptown) if anyone needs a ride
