SO skiers are involved in this now, holler at Liberty for putting the money up for it. As for riders, as far as I know:
Witt Foster (the cat?)
Sean Fields
Rafe Robinson
Ian Cosco
Sean Collin
will be attending (AERYX ANYONE?)
And Steven Stepp/RIch Fahey were also invited, unsure if they will be able to participate.
Just an update, should be a sick comp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because skiing was put in so last minute we didn't have time or $$$ to get a second set of skiing judges. We had to roll with our snowboard judging crew who by the way are some of the top judges in the country...top level IJC, judged x-games the last three years, US OPEN and US Grand Prix (olympic qualifiers).
A HUGE thanks to Liberty Skis for helping make this event possible...you guys rule!!!

Hes in NY, if not he for sure would have won. I saw footy, Cosco lip 270 was ugly steve killed it, and Tom i think it was tom (green pants?) had an ill sw to sw.

Ski Liberty and Roundtop used to be my stomping grounds way way way way back in the day. Their parks used to be just piles on snow with shovels left out for the riders and whatever logs we could pull out of the woods.
It's super cool to see talent coming up out of these places...makes me all warm and fuzzy.

i watched the vid and hope those 270s onto the box where not what won. i would think that who ever won did those 270s onto the rail NOT the fucking box.

Anyone would agree that a 270 onto the rail rather than the box would have won.
But the down rail was just too big for that. Every skier there was most definatly capable of spinning onto a down rail (except Rich Fahey), so its not like they avoided it. It was too big. Although one skier, Sean Collins(??) was trying to spin onto it. He was coming close, but i dont think he made it.

yes it was, but nobody else did it!
the rail was set up inbetween the ramps and had absolutely no lip so it wasnt exactly easy to get onto in general, it was sick that sean collin even tried it....

you must not hav realized that there was not supposed to be a skier class at all, and Boreal and Liberty threw something together within 5 days of the event, so that skiers could have a piece of the action.

Sorry you didn't make the cut to get in the comp but there wasn't any space for more competitors so don't be a tuff guy on the web about it. If I put you in you'd probably be complaining about the long wait between runs becasue of too many riders. Like Slaughter said, we weren't planning on a ski division until the last minute until Liberty pledged their support. It was a strecth adding the competitors last minute but we knew that we had to do it for the better of both the event and the sport.

boxes need to go in rail jams unless people start to use them in a diffrent way, to many years of 270s onto a box.

man eric is a busy person, dont take it personally. he was doing everything from worring about the athletes and sponsers to shoveling snow and setting up the stair set. everything came together last minute and if someone would have sponsered the event a while back there would have been equal amount of skiers and snowboarders and less over all people. they already invited all the snowboarders thinking it would be a snowboard only event and then skiing was thrown in causing everyone to get less runs. It also gave lot of people an oppurtunity to be a part of the event that wouldnt normally have that chance. i for one am thankful that skiers were in it.
and that picture link the guy put up now has videos on, but they are the crappiest quality i have ever seen i think

Thanks for calling me out you clown. I'm about to go beat up your legs whilst you sleep. But seriously, i can't 270 urban style. i suck.
And guys..... don't judge anything from that video. it was OVERALL Impression. Steve was consistent, and smooth. Everyone killed it though, and Cosco's Lip 2 on was amazing.... and Tom did a whole bunch of 270's on different ways. Judging in skiing is the most controversial thing ever.
