ok i have got a tramp like yesterday and i have learned like fronts really good like i can land them, and i need to know how to do a backflip. im very afraid of landing only have way around and killing my neck or my back.

also what kind off other tricks can i do? like mistys and stuff?

Just jump really high before you rotate. Just look straight back, and you should be fine. You probally won't land on your feet, but definatly not on your head or neck. You'll be surprised how easy they are.

backflips are usually easier than frontflips are. Just make sure you have somebody who will spot you in case you do injure yourself.

i didn't have anyone to teach me. i learned a pretty weird way, but it helped me learn rodeos shortly after. i would do backflips to the side so they weren't straight back, then i would slowly bring them closer to the right axis, then finally i said fuck it, then went for it, and landed on my feet the first try. one of my friends wants to learn backs, but he is always a pussy about and never tries it. my only advice is to really throw yourself hard, and don't pay attention to your conscious.

Yea, I learned backflips off the diving board, but frankly a back slap on the water can hurt alot worse than on the tramp.

just practice fallin on ur back, then go from ur back to a back flip out, then get really pumped and do a backflip, there easy shit

the first time i learned backflips was 5 years ago,i was able to do them all good then my friends pressured to smoke a joint with them and couldnt do them anymore......... damn friends peer pressurin you into drugs,.but i dont mind

Skier_dan,

DS91260 has the right idea by having you do a backflip from your back. This will force you to use your legs and hips, instead of throwing your head back, to get you around.

When doing it from your feet, think of kicking your feet up while looking straight ahead. When you see your feet, THEN throw you head back. Why?

You want your point of rotation to be at head level. This will prevent you from getting dizzy, have you land on exactly the same spot, and add lift to your jump by elevating your centre of mass.

Adding height to the jump shouldn't be necessary since these principles apply to a standing backflip as well.

Jump low and use a spotter to help flip you around just in case you come up short.
