I dunno if anyone has seen this before, but a friend just showed it to me for the first time and i was laughing my ass off. check it out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PTU2He2BIc0
its pretty pathetic but most of them do try to be gangter although the worst i've know was a kid who was a prep and emo... we called him primo he was a dumb mother fucker
I would call myself stylish, but not preppy. That's alittle over the top, and very few people actually dress like that. Most people who think they are preppy wear cheap brands like AF, AE, AERO.
all my clothes are cheap because i shop at salvation army. Seriously. AF is such a fuckin rip, and who wants to look like every single other person in existance? (other than me of course)
That video is a perfect resemblance of people around here. It's worse in the summer, because we get mad rich people up for the horse track. And about AF being cheap it is compared to other companies that like no one has ever heard of. My friend came back from Greece and bragged about the hundreds he spent on the amontie(sp) shirt and how baller everthing was there. I just laughted at him.
Yes! AF is the biggest rip off of our generation. Simply put, If you're buying mass produced jeans -- AF, AE, Hollister, and Disel are good examples -- for $80 you deserved to get ripped off. If I had $80 dollars to spend on jeans I could easily get customed tailored jeans MADE FOR ME at any of the multiple boutiques in town. Of course thats not to say that I ever have anywhere close to that kind of money for pants.
And I too get most of my clothes diggin around random bins, but finding good pants at thrift shops are really tough, mostly because most of the pants at thrift shops have the most fucked up sizes like 30X45 or 40X28. Although you can find good pants sometimes.
Ok guys, AF is cheap, compared to other companies, like Dsqaured, and D&G. I don't wear any AF, so I can't really talk about that, but I do wear some nicer brands.
Rich white people from the east cost who have lots of money, like to sail, wear polo shirts and seersucker, spend summers in the hamptons or matrhas vinyard and go to ivy league schools.
