It is a Vans movie composed almost entirely of still photos with 3D layers and motion graphics. It comes with the newest issue of Transworld. Go pick it up, cause in my opinion its the sickest movie I've seen since TBC.
i thought that suked watching kind of gave me a headache. it fucked with my brain man. And it wasn't really a movie, more like a slide show thing. It was just to weird and "different" for me
haha I do not know a single other person who has liked it. I loved it. I have a tru passion for photography, and this movie made slideshows 100x more intricate. kudos.
i thiought it would've been alot more effective if tehy usesd SOME video, two minutes in i was like "seriously you're only going to use this slideshow shit....and shut it off
i absolutly love it. most people have no idea how long something like that would take. i like seeing a different aspect of creativity. 'a lucid dream' pretty much captured that.
that movie reminded me of Kurt Vonnehut's Slaughterhouse 5, when he is in the alien zoo and they tell him how they see things in sequences kinda. its trippy
I don't see how some people couldn't stand it. Photography is the shit and I would definately do it along with cinematography if I had the extra money, and this movie demonstrates its beauty.
maybe people have some different styles though. Some people couldn't sit through A Lucid Dream, while I couldn't sit through Shanghai 6.
i was trying to find it, but you remember the TBC edit for the VAST awards, that had that strobe effect, bu mixed in movie clips? i think thats teh shit, but photo sequences are like watching unfocused tv or something, eventually it just pisses me off, and i want to see hwo it really happened
