Sorry guys, but after reading these forums for awhile and browsing countless ski companys websites for months I still am clueless as to which ski(s) I should buy, so I'm giving up and making one of these posts.
First, some basic info; I moved to mammoth last December with a pair of my dads super old k2s, I immediatly bought a pair of fujatives and was later given a demo pair of Seths with demo bindings, both are size 169, I'm 5'10" and about 160 lbs so the lengeth of these skis is part of the reason why I want a new pair. The fujis were tons of fun and I rode them basically as all mountain/park skis, and my seths served as my pow skis. Since mammoth has turned me into a ski bum, and I really wanna tear it up this winter, Im looking into buying 1 or 2 new pairs of skis.
Im really set on buying a pair of all mountain/park skis that are meant to be center mounted, my fujis are great but they are a little soft and short for my liking. Im just looking for a fun ski to rip around switch in and throw 180s off of every small bump i see, Id also like these skis to be used in park(75% of the time), primarily for jumping. I was looking into the Karmas or AR6 for this ski.
I also wanna get a wide ski for the countless pow days we get up here. Im not really that concerned with the whole BC booter thing, and the only BC I will prolly be doing are the Sherwins Mountains in town here, which are pretty mellow. This ski will see most of its use in the trees on stormy days, and the occasional 10-20' drop. I was leaning twords the ARVs in this category.
Im pretty new to the skiing scene so any advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
