i dont see how its worse its got nicer cars (coulda used a supra)drifting is sick and who better to have done most of the drifting then from the original DK himself that movie was sick
i didnt much care that the story sucked. At this point fast and the furious isnt about the story, its about the cars, and the cars were dam nice. I was a big fan if the evo, but the fact that they put a jdm endine in a classic mustang killed me
wow.....you can watch the special features. It was cool, but alot of it was BS. Like the race down the mountains, if you gonna race, then your not gonna drift at all. For the average joe it is good, but if you really want to get into it watch Inital D.
ohh and a supra is a horrible car to drift with because of its size and weight. It is great for wangan, and GT racing. Most people in japan just take the engine out of it and put it in Soarers ( lexus SC300/400), Mk2, or the Aristos. They are much ligher cars...soo the power to weight ratio is great.
hahaha...look a a supra drift, then look at a AE86 corolla drift, or Kazama ( 3 time D1GP world campion drifter.....the best in the world) in his s15. They are just huge cars to throw around. Plus in drifting you don't need much HP....most drifters don't even go over 130 KPH when they drift.
ya i know im not dumb im just saying supras r pretty nasty cars if i own one someday im def. learning to drift with it the closest thing i can get to drifting right now is tray sliding with my brothers or friends dodge neons theyre pretty sweet i love dodge neons and honda civics theyre just so fast if u put a lil money into them i wrather spend 20 grand on a nice honda del sol and shit for it then spend like $80 thousand for a dodge viper
that movie was so shitty...the main character pissed me off so much. and when vin diesel showed up at the end...man they should have replaced him with chuck norris. plus the girl in the story was NOT HOT
well not as hot as some of the other asians.
you're a fucking fanboy. he ain't the best in the world. just because of some gay ass d1 gp says so doesn't mean he is the best. you do realize the fucking politics in d1 don't you? BM HAI is where its at. and he ain't the best in the world haruguchi for life.
I thought drifting was cool until I saw that movie. But I still have dirt and snow to fall back onto, and I don't think they'll ever make a shitty movie about racing on dirt roads.....I hope to GOD. I would have been a lot more impressed by the movie if the cars were less ricey and they had put more into the performance aspect rather than seeing how many vinyl decals they could fit around the two foot wings. SCC did an article about the cars in that movie and none of them even came close to breaking the 5 second mark in the 0-60. You have to be mechanically retarded to not be able to do that with a twin turbo Z. Seriously.
i just got a kick out of how they would race around the city fishtailing in and out of traffic when there were plenty of lanes wide open all around them. they could have easily sped by traffic without all the unnecessary "drifting". ah well its just a movie right. i did enjoy the part where they dropped the silvia engine into the mustang. im sure classic muscle cars dont make the best drifters but didnt an 05 mustang or 2 win some major drift event(s??) a year or two back?
and was that orange and black car really an rx-7? i guess i can kinda see it but for the whole time i could not tell what that car was and i would consider myself a pretty knowledgable car guy.
thats kinda funny. i saw the picture before i read your post and my first thought was that it was an nsx, then i read your post, lo and behold, its an rx7
hahaha....ok....how many champs has Haruguchi won....please do tell. Kazama was trained personaly by Keiichi, he is his main driver for his suspention company Kei Office. Kazama is the new drift king. Just look his videos drifting, he is the new drift king. The only person who even comes close is Orido.
BTW there are little to no politics in D1GP....just look at the US driver search....at the D1GP street legal series. D1 is the roots of all drifting. There is a reason people around the world want to run in D1GP( Rhys Millen, Sam hubinette, Chris Forestburg). Formula D, Castroil Drift Mainia, Euro Drift.....these are all great series, but the drivers there all want to make it in the D1GP.
should have stuck with your first thought because that picture is definitly an nsx. i think he was reffering to the car in the movie that is an rx-7(i still have to see it again to be sure of this) with a widebody kit.
the orange car that Han drives in the movie is a Veilside Fortune Widebody RX-7. The rust orange car i the picture above is an NSX with a wide body from BRS. In the movie they also have a Veilside Fortune widebody NSX (which is one of the most expensive/rare body kits on the face of this earth). You can see that car at the begining of the movie when they show a whole crowd of people dancing. It is to the right, and looks alot like the rear of a saleen S4. You can also see it in Han's garage.
I wouldn't, fuck rotary engines, if you happen to blow the notorious apex seal, you might as well throw it out and yourself a new engine, Silvia's are quite fast, and a really nice, lightweight drift car. Now if you're talking about throwing something like the 1JZ-GTE into the FD3S-RX7, then that would be a sick ride. And yeah, that orange car, as far as I can tell is an NSX, definitely looks like a mid-engine setup, the hood isn't nearly proportionate to the RX7's curves.
i know the difference i even said at first i thought it was an nsx but then i saw the movie and figured it out god damn ur kinda annoying u know that stop being a know it all
"She was just admiring... my ride"- Lamest line ever, i was laughing my ass off. Did anyone recognize the blondy from Home Improvement in the beginning? Where is his mullet! "Lil" Bow Wow's car was a piece of shit, and the girls were hot in this one.
the scene where they first went to the parking garage to drift and shit dammmmmski i creamed myself its like wow all japanese ppl look alike so that means all the hot girls are all EXTREMELY HOT
chinese? wth would they be chinese seriously if theyre in japan theyre gunna use japanese girls dur seriously most of that film was filmed in tokyo parts that werent were the drift through the crowd and quite a few of the drifting scenes one that was filmed there though was the parking garage
no they filmed most of it in tokyo actually they remade anything they couldnt shoot in LA im watching the movie right now actually and i just watched the features
the main character looked like 40 years old and he was supposed to be in highschool, that fucked the whole thing up, and he is a fucking terrible driver too.
