So yesterday I bought last years karmas without much research into the ski. Im on the east coast and ski groomers most of the time. I know the karmas are pretty stiff and im kinda reconsidering them. I ski about 75%park and 25%all mountain. Will this ski handle alot of jumps and hard landings? I bought the 177's. What ski should i get and are the karmas not the right ski?
if u decide to get rid of them you can give them to me...
but i think they should be good. i'm the opposite of you (75% groomers, 25%park) and everything i've heard about the karmas is that they can pretty much rip anywhere.
I just got last year's as well...185cm. I'm 6-1, 200lbs. I haven't tried them yet. I mounted mine +2 from the FR position. I wouldn't do any more if you want a prayer of being able to flex them properly to carve or ski bumps and powder. You can see how I mounted them. They look pretty sick.
karmas arent so hot in the park compared to other skis out there, but definatly still a great ski, especially out of the park...the main problem with the karmas in the park is a "weird" (lack of better word to describe it) swing weight...
that is gonna be alot of ski for you. im sure youll be able to handle it, but it will most likely be overkill for most park riding. they are good on jumps cause of the stiffness, but if your not riding all mt that much, id seriously consider selling. normally id reccomend that ski, but i really think it might be too much ski for what you wanna do. if they are undrilled, youll be able to get some good scratch from them.
