making photo files smaller

im a retard and i wanna upload some pictures, and i dont know how to make the file small enough, cause theyre all around 60-100kb on my computer
could somebody please tell me how to make them smaller?

When you save it, see if there a quality/compression option. Also, make sure its a jpeg.

Oh, I'm not sure with that, but try clicking save as with that file, and save it as a jpg file. It should give you an option of making the file smaller or lower quality, but I'm not sure. I've never used that specific program, but try that.

If you pictures are already JPEG (.jpg) files and you dont' have Photoshop or a program like that, just go to save as and save them as .bmp files and open them in Paint. Then go to Image and click Stretch/Skew and change horizontal and vertical each to 75 or 50 percent to make it small enough, and then go back to save as and change it back to a .jpg file. That's what I always do to make pictures smaller. My digital camera takes pictures that are around 800k each, and after I shrink them just 50% they go to around 80k.

Open the picture in Photoshop, then go to Save For Web, then play with the quality, till you get it to what you want.

yah, i figured out how to get the files smaller, theyre all under 30kb and theyre all JPEG files, and it still says that theyre too big or arent JPEG or GIF
